On Wednesday December 4, members of the JCRC Board, as well as representation from the Board of Rabbis and Jewish Community Foundation, visited the IRC Phoenix Welcome Center–which accepts asylum-seekers released from ICE Detention.

The visit was an opportunity to learn more of the asylum-seeking process and work of the IRC Phoenix Welcome Center to assist.

The IRC Phoenix Welcome Center shelters asylum-seekers after their release by ICE, and helps prepare them for their onward journey to their family sponsors ahead of their asylum hearing.
