In December 2022, the Phoenix Black-Jewish Cohort was honored to speak on panels at the International Lions of Judah Conference in Scottsdale.
The Black-Jewish Cohort spoke about the initiative to create proximity between the Black and Jewish communities, and the trip earlier in the year to Washington, D.C., to visit the U.S.Holocaust Memorial Museum and African-American History and Culture Museum, respectively–a trip supported by a Civic Incubation grant by JFNA.
The morning panel featured Phoenix Black-Jewish Cohort members Jay Tinsley and Rabbi Sara Mason-Barkin, and the afternoon panel featured Aaron Pratt, Essen Otu and Danielle Gross.
